Water Birth
While I'm still writing out the birth story for our baby born this weekend, let me stop a moment to tell you that we had a water birth. I've attended many water births as a doula, both in homes and hospitals. Heck, I've even used a bath tub and shower personally for pain relief in labor. I just personally never made the leap from watching others do it to doing it myself. Studies, as well as my clients, reported that water birth was amazingly gentle on their bodies. They enjoyed incredible pain relief too. Well, this weekend I became a believer.
