Pregnancy Books for Kids

Friday December 28, 2007
I love to read. When I'm pregnant, I devour pregnancy books. (Okay the truth is I do this anyway!) So when I'm expecting I enjoy sharing my love of books and of pregnancy with my children. What I can show them or explain to them has to do with how old they are and what they are ready to comprehend. Other parents would also add that it has to be something that they (the parents) feel comfortable sharing with their children. So if you're looking for books about pregnancy for kids, look no further. If you have a favorite that isn't listed, be sure to leave a comment to share your thoughts!

I like the book, The Miracle of Me from conception to birth. A great tool for parents to explain the medical realities of fetal development in a simple, easy to understand, entertaining book. A week by week account of how the little one grows from the perspective of the baby. Very engaging for children. I like the real in-utero photography and the rulers and scales. It’s easy for children of all ages to “see” the baby. Particularly great for families that believe in God!
