The Breastfeeding Icon Symbol Turns One

Wednesday November 14, 2007
Mothering Magazine actually held a contest to come up with an international symbol for breastfeeding. Voting was open for awhile so that everyone had a chance to vote. I hope you caught it on my blog or elsewhere, but this is the new symbol which Mothering is granting the right for everyone to use. It was designed by stay-at-home-dad, Matt Daigle. Now that the symbol is a year old, I've actually seen it in several locations. Have you? The new symbol actually has it's own blog - how cool is that?

I voted for image number four. I felt that it was simple like the signs for restrooms and exits, but got the point across. I’m interested, what did others vote for?

I voted for number 8!
