Tom and Katie Buy an Ultrasound Machine

You might be thinking how nice it would be to have your very own ultrasound machine when you read that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes bought one for use in their home, whenever they want to do it. While they say that once the pregnancy is over they will donate the ultrasound machine to a hospital, there are still critics out there.

The American College of Radiology (ACR) says beyond the potential risks to the baby, it might even be "unlawful." This also follows on the heels of the Food and Drug Administration’s battle with the popping up of fetal keepsake video stores in many cities. These are places where any pregnant woman can just go in for fun to have an ultrasound. The FDA wants to remind us that the use of ultrasound equipment is for medical purposes only.
